Dia Daoibh agus fáilte chuig Scoil Íosagáin Cúil Ghréine
Welcome to our school website which showcases life and learning at Scoil Íosagáin Coolgreany. We hope you will regularly visit our website to keep you up to date with fun events both inside and outside the classroom.
Scoil Íosagáin Coolgreany is a vibrant hub of learning at the heart of the rural village of Coolgreany in North Wexford. Our staff are dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting learning environment where everyone feels valued and safe and pupils can achieve their full potential by providing a well-structured and engaging curriculum, and by promoting good behaviour throughout our school, we aim to instill in all children a love of learning while simultaneously fostering a deep sense of pride in the local community and surrounding environment.
While Scoil Íosagáin Coolgreany is a co-educational, Catholic, primary school and a catholic ethos permeates all school activities, we welcome every child in our community of different religious beliefs/none, and endeavour to create an inclusive environment for our pupils.
Teachers and parents are seen as partners in the children’s learning, with co-operation and communication between home and school being vital ingredients in the educational process. We share the same aim — the wellbeing of the children in our care.
The school will encourage the involvement of parents through home/school contacts and through their involvement in the Parents Association of the school.
In our school we will endeavour to develop self-respect and respect for others in the pupils, and enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community. We also strive to promote wellbeing, to develop in the pupils respect for property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible and taking personal responsibility.
Scoil Íosagáin Coolgreany will promote gender equality amongst the staff and pupils.
We aim to prepare our pupils for their place in a modern, multicultural society by promoting equality and celebrating the diversity we have in our school community.
Should you wish to find out more about the school, please feel free to make an appointment and I will be delighted to show you around.

Mission Statement
Scoil Íosagáin, through proudly and primarily a Catholic school will endeavour to cherish equally all the children in its care, irrespective of background, creed, colour, race or ability. We will provide a safe, happy environment where the children will be constantly encouraged to achieve their goals and reminded of the endless possibilities and opportunities which education provides. They will be encouraged to have respect for themselves and others, their home, their environment and their country. In achieving these ends the school will need the support and input of the hole school community.
School Motto
